Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy applies to

Anyone who uses the Moto Trax app on iOS, Android, or the web (mototrax.app).

2. We don't have user accounts

Moto Trax v1 is an anonymous directory app. There is no sign-in, no user profile, no posting, no check-ins. We do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers
• Profile photos
• Riding numbers, bikes, classes, or any rider info
• Posts, comments, reviews, ratings — these features don't exist in v1
• Account passwords or authentication credentials

3. What we do collect

Location data (only when you choose)

• When you tap "Use My Location" on the Map, your device shares your current GPS coordinates with the Moto Trax app only. The coordinates are used to center the map and (optionally) sort tracks by distance.
• Location data is never transmitted to Moto Trax servers and never retained after you close the app.
• Background location is not requested. We use foreground-only permission.

Information from third parties

• OpenStreetMap / CartoDB: the map tiles your device fetches when viewing the map. They see your IP address, like any web request.
• Nominatim (OpenStreetMap): when you type a city or ZIP into the search box, that text + your IP is sent to OpenStreetMap's geocoder. We do not store the search term.

Device + app data

• Crash logs (anonymized — Apple/Google standard reporting). No personal identifiers.
• We do not use third-party advertising trackers and we do not participate in Apple's IDFA tracking.

4. How we use it

The only data we receive is anonymous crash reports and feedback you choose to send us via the in-app form.

• Crash reports: to fix bugs.
• Feedback (when you write to us): to read your message and reply if you've included a contact email.

We do not sell any data to anyone. Period.

5. Track data

The 285+ track listings in the app come from public sources:

• OpenStreetMap (sport=motocross features, ODbL license)
• American Motorcyclist Association (chartered organizations and event search results)

Editorial content in the News tab is written by Nubric.

We do not share data with anyone for marketing or advertising.

7. Your rights & controls

Because we don't store user data, there's nothing to export, delete, or correct on our servers. Closing the app or uninstalling it leaves no trace on our side.

On your device, Moto Trax stores a small amount of local preference data (your units choice, cached map tiles). To clear it: Settings → Your Data → Delete Local Data. This is also done automatically when you uninstall the app.

If you want us to delete crash logs your device sent us (within the 14-month retention window), email info@nubric.dev with the device model and approximate date range.

If you live in California (CCPA), the EU/UK (GDPR), or another jurisdiction with privacy rights, the answer is the same: we have nothing on you to access, delete, or correct.

8. Children

Moto Trax is rated 4+ and may be used by anyone, including children under 13, since we collect no personal data and contain no user-generated content.

9. Changes to this policy

If a future version of Moto Trax adds user accounts, posts, comments, or any other feature that collects personal data, we will update this policy and notify users in-app before enabling those features.
