Sixty4 Racing
Effective: June 7, 2026 · Last updated: June 7, 2026
Sixty4 Racing is built by Nubric ("we," "our," "us"). Short version: the app works fully with no account and no cloud — everything stays on your phone. Signing in is optional and only adds cloud backup so your garage syncs across your devices. This policy spells out the details in plain English. Questions? info@nubric.dev.
Anyone who uses the Sixty4 Racing app on iOS (and Android, when released). Sixty4 Racing is a companion app for the Sixty4 Racing speed-trap timer, which clocks 1:64 scale diecast cars. The product site is sixty4racing.com.
You do not need an account to use Sixty4 Racing — the garage, runs, and timing all work signed out. If you choose to sign in, you can use Sign in with Apple or Google. When you do, we receive:
We use this only to identify your account and sync your data. We don't ask for your name, contacts, or anything else, and we don't post anywhere on your behalf.
Whether or not you sign in, your data lives in a local database on your phone:
Signed out, this never leaves your device. You can erase it anytime in Settings → Your data → Delete local data, or by uninstalling.
If you sign in, your garage and runs are backed up to our cloud, hosted on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), and tied to your account so they sync across your own devices. This data is private to your account — it is not public, not shared with other users, and never sold. If you sign out or delete your account, the cloud copy is removed (see Section 9).
The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy only to connect to your nearby Sixty4 timing hardware and receive run results. We do not collect or transmit your location. On Android, Bluetooth scanning is set to "never for location," and the app does not request location permission.
If you add a photo to a car, the app opens your system photo picker so you choose one image, stored locally as part of your garage. The app does not request full photo-library access — only the single image you pick. (If cloud sync is on, photos you add may sync to your private cloud backup like the rest of your garage.)
We use no third-party advertising trackers, no analytics SDKs, and we do not participate in Apple's IDFA tracking. We do not sell data. Period.
The searchable make/model list is bundled inside the app — not fetched from the network. It comes from Wikidata (CC0 public-domain data) plus a curated list of brand-original casting names. Those names (e.g. Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning) are trademarks of their respective owners, shown only to help you identify a car; Nubric and Sixty4 Racing are not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.
| Vendor | What they handle | Where data lives |
|---|---|---|
| Apple App Store | App distribution + crash reports on iOS; Sign in with Apple | Apple |
| Google Play | App distribution + crash reports on Android | |
| Google Firebase | Sign-in (Authentication) + your private cloud garage (Cloud Firestore) — only when signed in | Google Cloud |
| Expo (EAS) | Build + over-the-air JavaScript updates | Expo / Cloudflare |
We do not share data with anyone for marketing or advertising.
If you live in California (CCPA), the EU/UK (GDPR), or elsewhere with privacy rights: signed out, we hold nothing about you. Signed in, we hold your email, a user ID, and your synced garage — all of which you can delete with one tap (above) or by emailing info@nubric.dev.
Sixty4 Racing is rated 4+ and contains no user-generated content, social features, or messaging. Accounts are optional; a parent or guardian should set up any account for a child under 13. The app is not part of Apple's Kids Category.
If a future version adds new data collection (e.g. leaderboards or sharing), we will update this policy and notify users in-app before enabling those features. The "Last updated" date will change.
